I would like to offer my warmest congratulations on the opening of Linden Hall’s High School. Linden Hall has from its inception in 2004 offered innovative educational programs and we at St Anne’s College in Oxford University are very pleased to hear that your students will be able to continue through high school and on to university.

The challenges that your students will face when they enter working life are hard to predict. It is likely that the options and duties that they will face will be ever more global in nature, and the people with whom they must deal will be drawn from a greater range of nations and cultures than ever before. In such an environment, what can be said with certainty is that confidence in and respect for one’s own culture, for that of others, the ability to think independently, and proficiency in languages, will be attributes sought for in the leaders of the future.
St. Anne’s College has been extremely pleased that its graduates have taught at Linden Hall and welcome the continuation at high school level of its internationally-minded education. This enhances the education that students at Linden Hall receive, and upon graduation they will be able to compete for places at the best universities not only in Japan but around the world. The curriculum nurtures such important skills as independent research and critical thought, recognized around the world as the keys to educational excellence. Parents and educators alike are aware of the advantages this confers, and it is a great credit to Linden Hall that it offers such opportunities to its students.

We wish all of you at Linden Hall the very best for the future.
